This organic ground cinnamon, known as Ceylon or 'true' cinnamon, is made from the bark from the 'Cinnamomum Verum' plant, as opposed to the more common Cassia variety. Ceylon Cinnamon is known to lower blood sugar levels, reduce heart disease risk factors and has a plethora of other impressive health benefits. Ceylon cinnamon can be used in large doses, as opposed the Cassia variety which has a mild toxicity in large quantities.
