Meadowsweet is a wonderful herbs used for centuries for treating colds, bronchitis, upset stomach, heartburn, peptic ulcer disease, and joint disorders including gout. It is also used to increase urine output and treat bladder infections. It is reputed to break fevers and to promote sweating during a cold or flu. Meadowsweet also contains salicylates, which give the herb an aspirin-like effect, particularly in relieving aches and pains during a common cold. What a herb!
